The less weight you carry on your feet, the more you have left for the job. The Kodiak Trakker is a men's hiker-style work boot built on a full grain waterproof leather upper with a waterproof membrane, so wet ground and cold mornings stay outside the boot.

Rugged nylon side panels keep the weight down and let the boot breathe through a long shift, while 200 g Thinsulate handles the cold without bulk. Underfoot, a removable polyurethane insole sits over a lightweight compression-molded EVA midsole, and the slip and oil-resistant rubber outsole holds its footing on a shop floor or a job site. CSA approved with a composite toe, composite plate and electric shock resistance, it weighs 650 grams per size 9 boot. This one runs small, so consider ordering a half size up.
